This lace is made by water soluble (chemical) embroidery: the design is stitched onto a temporary backing that is then dissolved away, leaving a free-standing guipure lace with no base fabric.

The result is a lace with real body and a crisp 3D surface. Thick red outlines and pink fill give every rose a raised, sculpted look that holds its shape in fitted and flared styles.
